Become a Substitute/ Guest Teacher

To apply:

• Complete the Telluride School District online application
• Submit fingerprints to CDE learn more 
• Apply online for the Colorado Substitute Authorization

Compensation:

• $120/day for non-certified teachers with a valid Substitute Teacher Authorization
• $140/day for certified teachers with a valid Teaching License or a Five Year Substitute Authorization
• $150/day for long term substitutes

  $300 Substitute Stipend  

Great news!  The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is currently offering a $300 stipend for Substitute/ Guest Teachers.  Individuals with a valid 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, or 2020-21 Substitute Authorization may qualify for the stipend.

   To be eligible for the $300 funding:

1) Obtain a valid Colorado substitute authorization.

2) Register and attend a FREE, virtual Substitute Boot Camp.  To learn more and register, CLICK HERE.

3) Work a minimum of one day as a substitute in a Colorado school district, BOCES, charter or approved facility school.
