THS Parents,
It’s spring, and that means PROM! Our prom committee has been working extremely hard to put together a night to remember. Please see the information below regarding the THS Junior/Senior Prom on May 3.
Event Details
Telluride High School Prom is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM at The Mountain Lodge in Mountain Village. The theme is Midnight Masquerade. We’re excited to create a magical and elegant event with the best photo backdrop around! This space will blow your mind! We’ll have food, poker tables, an amazing DJ, special lighting, a photo booth, signature drinks, and more! (no jumping in pool or hot tub please!!)
Inclusivity and Participation The Prom Committee is working hard to ensure Prom is a place where everyone feels they belong and has something they want to do. Please encourage your students to participate!
· Tickets will be available to juniors and seniors.
· Underclassmen may attend as invited guests.
· Middle school students and graduates will not be permitted.
Ticket Information
Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple and can be purchased from Traci Baize at the front desk or at the door. We accept cash, check, and Venmo (@TBaize81). You may also email Traci with any questions.
The dance will be chaperoned by myself and other high school teachers. If you would like to financially sponsor a student to help them attend, your generosity would be greatly appreciated. We want everyone to have the opportunity to participate. Please contact Traci Baize if you’d like to donate or if you know of a specific need.
Parking Information
Parking is available in the Mountain Lodge Parking Lot; however, vehicles will not be accessible during the event. Students may also be dropped off at the entrance. Once the lot if full you must park elsewhere or be dropped off.
Important Reminders
· If your student is bringing a guest from another high school, a guest form must be completed with Traci Baize by Thursday.
· All school rules and disciplinary policies apply at school dances.
· Students will not be admitted after 8:30 PM.
· Once a student leaves the dance, they may not return.
· If a student appears to be under the influence of alcohol, they will be breathalyzed. TMO will also be present to address any suspected substance use.
· Coats, bags, and purses will be checked at the door and will not be accessible until the student leaves the dance.
Please take a moment to talk with your student about making healthy choices during prom and other end-of-year activities.
Thank you,
Sara Kimble, TMHS Principal
